Oleh Kyriyenko

Oleh Kyriyenko is an expert on democratisation in Eastern Europe, and the post-Soviet region in particular. He has a rich experience in designing, managing, monitoring and evaluating projects as consultant on technical assistance in the CEE to the EU, WorldBank, DFID, DANIDA and other international organizations. Oleh was one of the co-founders and activists of the Ukrainian youth movement "PORA" during the Orange Revolution in Ukraine in 2004. He was a Vice-President of the Comité Directeur (European Board of AEGEE – organization with over 17,000 members in 37 European countries). Oleh worked as Voter Services Supervisor with the OSCE Mission in Kosovo and as Projects Manager at the Alfred Mozer Foundation (political NGO for supporting democracy through empowering civil society in the countries of Eastern Europe) and the European Forum for Democracy and Solidarity.


Oleh possesses degrees from the Ivan Franko Lviv National University (MA International Relations) and from the University of Amsterdam (MA International and European Relations). Apart from his native Ukrainian he speaks English, Russian, Greek and Polish.
