Member of Independent International Commission on Kosovo, 1999-2000. Since 1999, visiting Professor at the College of Europe in Bruges and visiting professor of government at Harvard University in 2006. Since 2007 advisor to the European Commission. 1990-1992 advisor to Czech President Vaclav Havel.
