Democracy and Development on the agenda at the EDDs

undefinedThe EPD is currenrtly taking part in the European Development Days, being held in Stockholm, from Thursday to Saturday of this week. The EPD will be sharing stand no.32 (see plan) in the stakeholders' hall with the Association of Charity Lotteries in the European Union (ACLEU). To celebrate the 2009 Development Days' theme of Citizenship and Development, the EPD is collaborating with ACLEU to hold a business card raffle, where everyone visiting our stand is invited to enter their business card for the chance to win a number of prizes ranging from Czech President and EPD Patron Vaclav Havel's latest book and other democracy support-related material to energy saving gadgets. Winners will be picked at random at the end of proceedings on Friday 23rd (7pm). The EPD delegation comprises Marcin Walecki, Executive Director, Kristina Prunerova, Programme Manager for the Post-Soviet & Asia region and Alex Way of the EPD's Communication & Advocacy division, all of whom are on the stand from time to time - do come and say hello! The EPD's Chairman, Roel von Meijenfeldt is also at the event. Those not attending the event in person can follow many of the debates through live online video streams at the EDD website.
