EPD was the very fortunate recipient of €500.000 from the Dutch Postcode Lottery.
On 4 February 2010, European Partnership for Democracy was the very fortunate recipient of €500.000 from the Dutch Postcode Lottery. The Lottery, which is the largest charity lottery in the Netherlands, contributes 50 percent of its annual profit to carefully selected aid organisations and charities concerned with bettering the lives of people and of nature. On the Goed Geld Gala 2010 charity event, the National Postcode Lottery announced that 75 charitable organizations received a total of over 256 million Euros from the 2009 earnings of the Lottery. Op donderdag 4 februari jl. vond de jaarlijkse bijeenkomst plaats voor de begunstigden van de Nationale Postcode Loterij in het Nationaal Museum Van Speelklok tot Pierement. Op dit feestelijke Goed Geld Gala 2010 maakte de Nationale Postcode Loterij bekend dat 75 goede doelen organisaties in totaal een bedrag van ruim 256 miljoen euro ontvangen uit de opbrengst van 2009.
Er zijn dit jaar veel organisaties bijgekomen.
Defence for Children/ECPAT, Dokters van de Wereld, Human Rights Watch, Stichting Fairfood, Solidaridad, Fair Trade Orginal, Max Havelaar en de Landelijke Verenging van Wereld Winkels houden zich bezig met bestrijding van armoede, bescherming van mensenrechten, en ontwikkelingssamenwerking.
Het Rocky Mountain Institute ontvangt vanaf heden meerjarige steun voor het behoud van natuur en de verbetering van het milieu en RestovanHarte ontvangt meerjarige steun voor sociale cohesie in Nederland.
Het is voor het 20e achtereenvolgende jaar dat de Nationale Postcode Loterij een groei realiseert en dus nóg meer goede doelen organisaties kan steunen.
De samenleving wint altijd
Vijftig procent van de bruto-opbrengst van de Nationale Postcode Loterij is bestemd voor projecten in de samenleving. Dankzij 2,5 miljoen deelnemers aan de Nationale Postcode Loterij in 2009 wordt een recordbedrag van ruim 256 miljoen euro verdeeld over 75 goededoelenorganisaties.
