EU Governance Initiative Review
The Commission is organising a workshop on the 'governance incentive tranche' (up to €2.7 bn 'top-up' aid to support governance reform in ACP countries, rewarding the most reform-minded states with more funds).
Three Development committee Members are invited to take part. Other delegates will include civil society organisations and development partners.
The workshop will take place on Tuesday 30 September at the Borschette conference centre (rue Froissart, 36 - Brussels). Registered participants will receive a full agenda in due course.
In prospect, the European Commission is currently reviewing the implementation and impact of the Governance Initiative, and will report to the Council of Ministers in 2008. This site provides links to questionnaires designed to find out the views of stakeholders. Please complete the survey online by September 12.
