Six million eligible voters not registered in the UK, says Electoral Commission
"Research puts missing electors at more than 2.5m over previous estimate and raises questions over reshaped boundaries. At least 6 million eligible voters are not registered to vote in the UK, more than 2.5 million over the previous estimate, according to research published by the Electoral Commission today, throwing into question the validity of government plans to redraw constituency boundaries ahead of the next election".
