Outcomes of preparatory meeting for Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum

The first meeting of the Civil Society Forum is being held on November 16 and 17 in Brussels with the participation of over 220 CSO representatives from Eastern Partnership countries and the EU. The European Partnership for Democracy, the Association for International Affairs from the Czech Republic, the Institute for Security and Development Policy and the East European Democratic Center are among the invitees to this Forum and organized a brainstorming session with a small group of CSOs on Sunday November 15th in order to prepare discussion points for the meeting itself.

About 35 CSO representatives from EaP countries and EU member states met to discuss 2 main issues: what should be the structure and function of the Civil Society Forum and what can be the Forum’s contribution to thematic platform 1 on Democracy, good governance and stability?

The goal was to brainstorm on different topics of discussions and points of interest for the diverse participants, shadow the platform of the Forum and assist in developing ideas for the Forum's recommendations. The outcome has been a list of points which are deemed the most significant for the creation of the CSF and they will be proposed at the Forum by the participants of the preparatory meeting.

Please see the list of main points here.
