Visit of Moldovan civil society representatives to Brussels
Throughout 2009-2010, EPD engaged in raising awareness about the situation of Moldova in Brussels. In this context, EPD organized the visit of a Moldovan delegation of four civil society representatives (from the Center for Independent Journalism, the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives and the center for Human Rights "CONTACT") to Brussels between June 15 and 19, 2009 on behalf of the Moldovan civil society organizations, which were at that time deeply concerned about the crisis following the elections. The activists had the opportunity, thanks to EPD mediation, to meet with many important stakeholders from the Council of the EU, the European Commission and representatives from the current and incoming Council Presidencies.
